Love the Ocean lookI'm in the process of making my 1st ocean resin clock. It's coming out nice.
I bought a nice 20.00 clock that i liked. I took the mechinism off. I taped the back edges. I then painted the colors on that I wanted over it. I then took plastic cups, mixed my 3 blue's and one white and started pouring the different colors on. You have to pour the white lines on where you want the wave look to be while it's still wet. I first used a blow dryer. This did not work. I had to use a hot gun. That worked awesome. You just blow out the lines and it makes the wave effect. I then mixed up some clear resin and poured it on the bottom and added sand. I probable should have let it dry more before I poured the sand on it because it just soaked the sand right up. Now I am going to let is sit for 24 hours or longer till it dry's and then will add a top coat of resin. Then will have to drill out the center, add the mechanizm back in it and the hands. I bought some unfinished match sticks without the match part on it that i am going to use in place of the numbers to see how it looks. My hands are unfinished so I thought it would look good together. We shall see. Here's a pic of what I have so far. I don't know how the picture ended up sideways. I'm very sick right now with the flu I think so I'm not about to fix it.
